Candidates possessing Ph.D./MD/terminal degree in Medical/Health Sciences from a reputed University, and having a minimum of 20 years of teaching experience, including minimum of 10 years in academic administration at a responsible position such as Dean/Provost/Vice President or any other equivalent designation, in a well-established medical/health sciences college/university, may apply.
Suitable candidates should possess experience in academic strategic planning, curriculum development, and other Active Learning techniques, licensure and accreditation process including documentation, examinations, assessment procedures, research, research funding and guiding, faculty evaluation and development. The candidate should also possess excellent problem-solving abilities aimed at pursuing a transparent and issue-based functioning. The candidates should have strong research background with publications in indexed journals. He/she must also have good non-academic capabilities like managing the budget, planning and managing other administrative aspects of the University.
Selected candidate will work with the President and will be responsible for the coordination of academic activities including clinical training in the hospitals for the undergraduate and Master’s Programs, spanning across medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing colleges of the University through the Deans of the respective college, in addition to the supervision of student assessment and other academic-related activities.
Medium of instruction is English and candidates should have an excellent communication skill in English.
Age should be preferably between 50 years and 60 years with evidence of very sound health. Selected candidate should have a valid passport and all the other relevant documents related to the profession.
