Candidates must possess Ph.D./MD/terminal degree in Medical/Health Sciences/Medical Education/Research from a reputed University. Candidates must be having a minimum of 20 years of teaching experience, including minimum 10 years of experience in heading Research at a responsible position such as Dean/Vice President or any other equivalent designation, in a well-established medical/health sciences college/university.

Suitable candidates must possess rich experience in extensive research; developing research policies, procedures and plans; integrating different types of research and education at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; identifying, marketing and licensing of intellectual property; scholarship and creative activities; research funding and guiding; enhancing research productivity; educational development and faculty development activities; overseeing the functioning of the University Library. The candidates must also have experience in leading the imparting of education in PG programs, coordinating in the enrollment of PG students, experience in starting new PG programs.

The candidate should also possess excellent problem-solving abilities aimed at pursuing a transparent and issue-based functioning. The candidates should have strong research background with publications in indexed journals. 

Selected candidate will work with the academic administrators of the University and the President. 

Medium of instruction is English and candidates should have an excellent communication skill in English.

Age should be preferably between 50 years and 60 years with evidence of very sound health. Selected candidate should have a valid passport and all the other relevant documents related to the profession.
