Pink October Event

RAKMHSU is celebrating the PINK OCTOBER event on the 24th of October 2019.The event is to create awareness about Breast Cancer  and the importance of early screening in women.

The activities will include the following:

  • A Walkathon, around RAKMHSU campus, from 11.30-11.45 am 
  • Emirates Hospital Clinics stall offering free checkup and discounted Mammography and consultation vouchers,  venue: Reception, from 11.00 am - 2.00 pm.
  • Brief presentation for  school students to create awareness about Breast Cancer , with demonstration of self- examination, venue: Clinical Skills Lab, from 12.00- 12.30 pm.  
  • Fund-raising activities by RAKMHSU students including food stalls, fun activities (games, nail art, henna….), venue: Anatomy Museum, from 11.00-3.00 pm . The funds generated will be donated to Cancer patients.
  • Art competition. 
  • Writing competition
  • Quiz: venue: English Language Center, from 1.30 -2.00 pm
  • Intercollege exhibition: including models, art pieces, enactments, videos, photographs etc . ,venue: Reception, from 10.30-3.00 pm. The suggested themes of the exhibition are:

  • Students registered for the various activities are requested submit their work by the 23rd of October. The art work/ posters/models etc will be displayed on 24th October and judged. The best entries for each category will be awarded.
  • Registered Volunteers are requested to be available at the assigned venues from 10.30 am. 
  • The various activities are coordinated by the Student Council. The Quiz is co-coordinated by Syeda Sana Sultana, MBBS Year 5.
