Roles and ResponsibilityWhen members of the academic community at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University speak or write, they are expected to bear in mind that, by their actions, the public will inevitably judge their profession and institution. To both profession and institution, they are, therefore, under obligation at all times to:%u2022Be accurate;%u2022Be professional;%u2022Exercise appropriate restraint;%u2022Show respect for the opinions of others; %u2022Be clear that they are not official spokespersons for the University;%u2022Be proactive in curricular and instructional decisions;Faculty Role:All programs offered at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University must be developed, evaluated, and frequently updated by faculty members. Every college has committees consisting of faculty members to review the feedback received from various sources, modify the curriculum and courses as necessary, and assess student learning on various levels. The same holds for creating laboratories, clinical training courses, and other associated curriculum elements. Every program has a coordinator overseeing curriculumdevelopment, program coordination, assessment, and updates. Faculty ResponsibilitiesThe faculty member's primary responsibility at RAK Medical and Health Sciences University is effective teaching and clinical training. The academic climate the University seeks to maintain can only be achieved when faculty members regularly and conscientiously meet their fundamental instructional responsibilities in the classroom, the laboratory, the hospital, and the campus.No less important is the responsibility of RAK Medical and Health Sciences University faculty members as teachers/scholars to maintain professional competence in their field of specialization and to exercise such competence publicly in lectures, discussions including
