It provides clear-cut guidelines and unwavering support for professional counseling, enabling students to tackle challenges head-on and emerge successful.ScopeThis policy applies to all university-registered students, regardless of their program.Counseling ServicesCollege life offers students tremendous opportunities for personal intellectual growth. To assist the students in taking advantage of the opportunities, the University provides counseling services that help the students develop effective tools to overcome obstacles to academic progress, examine personal and intellectual strengths and weaknesses, and learn skills that promote personal and intellectual development.The Counseling Center%u2019s psychological services are designed to provide accessible individual counseling and referral services that enable the students to function effectively at RAKMHSU.The Counseling Centre offers:%u25aaGroup counseling opportunities enable students to learn about themselves interacting with others.%u25aaPersonal development workshops assist students to learn about themselves and develop skills to enhance academic and professional success.%u25aaConsultation services to the students in providing psychological support when needed.%u25aaReferral to Psychiatrist: The student counselor may refer students to a psychiatrist when necessary, based on the initial assessment of their mental health.%u25aaReferral from Psychiatrist to Student Counselor: If the psychiatrist recommends followup sessions or the application of specific therapeutic programs, the student counselor will implement these recommendations as part of the student%u2019s ongoing support plan. %u25aaPsychological Assessments and psychometric tests: Psychological scales and assessments may be used to evaluate the student%u2019s condition and to inform the development of appropriate intervention plans.Personal Counseling: Individual and Group Counseling
