477.8.3 Emergency Response Team%u2713In the event of an emergency or incident:%u2022Immediately alert your designated Floor Warden or the nearest Security officer.%u2022Follow all instructions from the Emergency Response Team, Floor Wardens, and Security personnel.%u2022Do not use elevators during fire alarms or evacuations, always use stairways.%u2022Assist individuals with disabilities or anyone needing help during evacuation, if it is safe to do so.%u2022Familiarize yourself with your nearest emergency exits, Assembly Point, and evacuation routes.ERT Roles and Responsibilities:Team RoleResponsibilitiesEvacuation CoordinatorsCall the ambulance and civil defense when required.-Communicate with fire wardens to track evacuation progress.-Monitor and provide updates to observers and relevant authorities.Security StaffControl vehicle and pedestrian traffic to prevent congestion near exits and assembly point.-Prevent unauthorized re-entry during drills and emergencies.Assembly Point CoordinatorsConduct headcounts using attendance sheets.-Report missing individuals or discrepancies to the evacuation coordinator.Fire RespondersRespond to fire emergencies and use extinguishers only when safe.-Coordinate with civil defence upon their arrival and provide relevant information.Fire Wardens-Conduct final sweeps of their assigned areas to ensure no one is left behind.Close doors to contain fire and limit its spread.Medical / First Aiders-Provide first aid for injuries.Coordinate with assembly point coordinators to handle medical emergencies.Tip:Know who your Floor Warden is and where their office or classroom is located.This will help you get quick guidance during an emergency.
