Strategies for work
The CHWD adopts the following four strategies to strengthen capacities for health workforce development:
- Education and training: designing and delivering short courses, micro-credentials, and degree programs pertaining to preparing leaders, managers, and professionals involved in health workforce development
- Knowledge sharing and technical services: providing technical assistance and knowledge sharing for countries, health systems, and institutions in policy and strategic planning, institutional capacity, and other key areas necessary for strengthening the health workforce
- Research and evidence generation: catalysing and conducting research to inform policy and decision-making around strengthening the health workforce
- Advocacy and networking: advocating to elevate the importance of the health workers and health workforce science and promoting networking, exchanges, and collective action for strengthening the health workforce
- Partnership: promoting collaboration and joint work with national, regional, and international organisations and institutions
