This includes a strong commitment against bribery, corruption, and other forms of economic crime, such as money laundering. This Policy aims to prevent corruption and bribery in all aspects of the university's operations and interactions, ensuring that the university's reputation, integrity, and credibility are upheld. ScopeThis Policy applies to all individuals associated with RAKMHSU, including but not limited to faculty members, staff, students, contractors, vendors, and any third parties acting on behalf of the university. It encompasses all activities, transactions, and relationships involving the RAKMHSU, both locally and internationally.Aims of the Policy The RAKMHSU has a zero-tolerance policy for bribery and corruption. The RAKMHSU will cooperate fully with the relevant authorities to investigate and prosecute bribery and corruption offenses.Bribery and corruption are contrary to the ethos of the RAKMHSU, can result in severe financial penalties for individuals and companies, and can also lead to the imprisonment of senior and junior RAKMHSU Employees.The RAKMHSU may have policies with higher policy requirements (if approved by the relevant RAKMHSU Board upon recommendation by RAKMHSU Legal and Risk), but not lower. The aims of this Policy are:%u2022To ensure that you are aware of the legal prohibitions on bribery and corruption and your status as \%u2022To guide on to what may constitute bribery or corruption; %u2022To ensure you understand the RAKMHSU approach concerning bribery and corruption and the RAKMHSU risk mitigation processes; and %u2022To help you protect yourself from allegations of bribery and corruption, including reporting and pre-clearance procedures concerning gifts and entertainment, both given and received.
