29%u00b7 Students need to apply in the prescribed format through the Dean and faculty supervisor to obtain approval at least one month before the last date of abstract submission.%u00b7 The Student Research Board must receive a national conference application for a poster or oral presentation at the RAKMHSU Student Scientific Conference.%u00b7 The application must be submitted to the University Research Committee for poster/oral presentations at conferences.%u00b7 The Student Research Board/ University Research Committee would communicate its decision to the students through his/her faculty supervisor, with a copy marked to the Dean and VP-Research and PG Studies.5.4.2 Policy on Students%u2019 Support for Participation in ConferencesIn order to encourage conference participation by students at national and international levels, RAKMHSU will extend suitable financial support to students as per the following policy:A. Participation in university activities:%u00b7 All students are urged to attend and participate in the professional development activities, including the Annual RAKMHSU Students%u2019 conferences, CME programs and career development activities organized by the university.%u00b7 Active attendance in these activities and programs will be considered as a main criterion for selecting students for participation in national and international conferences. Absentees of the in-house programs will not be eligible to take part in any suchprograms/conferences elsewhere.%u00b7 In the event, the university is organizing any of the CME professional development programs, in association with an external agency, and any registration amount is required to be paid for participation, the university will bear the expenditure on behalf of the students selected for participation. However, the number of such sponsored students for each program will be decided by the Dean concerned for every such program.%u00b7 In the event, the university holds a conference along with an external agency outside the University premises, transportation will be provided for these university sponsored students.B. Participation in conferences/workshops/seminars within UAE as delegatesUniversity will sponsor students to attend professional development activities including Conferences / Workshops /Seminars as delegates only based on the following criteria:%u00b7 Each student will be eligible to participate as a delegate in a maximum of 2 conferences per year within the UAE (Maximum duration of 3 days).%u00b7 Transportation to the venue may be arranged for the group of students by the university based on Dean%u2019s approval.%u00b7 The university will meet the registration expenses to a maximum extent of AED 200 per student per conference. If the registration fee is higher, students will have to bear the balance amount.
