31%u2022 The number of students being sponsored by the university or presentation of paper/poster within the UAE depending upon the availability of funds for students%u2019 activities for that particular academic year.Based on the Dean%u2019s recommendations, Student Affairs department will coordinate the student%u2019s participation for presenting papers/posters in conferences/workshops/seminars.(Please refer to RAKMHSU/PPM; section 4:4.6 Students%u2019 Support on Research Policy).Masters Students (MS)%u2022 MS students (first author) will be paid a maximum of AED 400 for registration and AED 200 for poster preparation if there are any costs to be met.%u2022 Other MS students (participants) will be paid AED 400 towards registration.%u2022 All other conditions will remain the same as other students (UG).5.4.3 Policy on Students%u201d Support for Publications in Scientific Journals%u00b7 Students are advised to consult faculty guides before an article is submitted for publication.%u00b7 The Vice President Research must approve all research surveys conducted for Research and Postgraduate Studies before being submitted to any journals or other publication outlets.%u00b7 The data from research, surveys, or draft manuscripts needs to be submitted to the Student Research Board for approval through the faculty supervisor and the Dean before submission for publication.%u00b7 It is the responsibility of the faculty supervisor and the group leader to submit all original survey materials and data to the Student Research Board and obtain full approval from the committee.%u00b7 The Student Research Board would communicate its decision to the students through their faculty guide, with a copy marked to the Dean and University Research Committee.The faculty will pay the publication cost as per the policy, and the University will reimburse the faculty author, who actually paid the publication fee. The student affiliation has to be in the name of RAKMHSU. The article processing charge (APC) for student publications in Scopus-indexed Q1, Q2, Q3, or Q4 journals will be a maximum of AED 1000. If the APC exceeds AED 1000, the additional cost will be covered by the faculty from their yearly allocated publication budget. Students will be nominated for various committees such as Library Committee, Academic Advising Committee, IT Services Committee, Grievance Redressal Committee, Sports and Cultural Activities Committee, etc.
