The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) has redefined the licensure and accreditation journey for HEIs to enhance quality, efficiency, and user experience.
The new institutional licensure process now takes only one week (if a local license exists) and involves a single site visit. Similarly, the accreditation process for new programs is designed to be completed within one week, followed by a verification visit before the program begins.
The timelines for renewing institutional licensure and program accreditation have also been significantly reduced—from a six-month process involving multiple evaluations to a streamlined period of 1.5 to 3 months.
