RAK Medical and Health Sciences University is immensely proud of Dr. Shakta Mani Satyam, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at RAK College of Medical Sciences and In-Charge of the Translational Medical Research Center & Central Animal Research Facility, for his remarkable contributions to the field of pharmacological research.
His research paper, earned a nomination for the prestigious O. D. Gulati Award, recognizing groundbreaking advancements in cardiovascular research. This study showcased how methyl gallate mitigates cardiac damage caused by chemotherapy through the activation of the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway, offering a beacon of hope for safer cancer therapies.
Dr. Satyam further elevated RAKMHSU’s reputation by chairing a pivotal session on "Clinical Trials, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance Aspects of Biosimilars" at the 54th Annual International Conference of the Indian Pharmacological Society in collaboration with the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology. Held at AIIMS, New Delhi, from November 28–30, 2024, this platform highlighted cutting-edge developments in pharmacology.
