MD Year 2 students Muhammed Younus Sheriff and Mohammad Azam Abdullah Farooqui secured first place in the Poster Presentation Competition at the SGH Cardiology Conference 2026, held on 9 October 2026. Their poster, titled “Bacteriophage Therapy for Multidrug Resistant Cardiac Device Infection: An Emerging Approach,” explored an innovative approach to managing difficult to treat infections. The students represented RAKMHSU under the supervision of Dr. Thilakavathy Pandurangan, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology.
