Job summary

RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) invites applications from qualified medical academics and practitioners to join its RAK College of Medical Sciences (RAKCOMS) as Assistant Professor in Pediatrics (Core Clinical Faculty).

About the Role

• This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to undergraduate clinical education, clinical supervision and student mentoring at RAKCOMS and federal hospitals.
• The role requires travel to different clinical sites for clerkship rotations.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. or terminal degree in Pediatrics.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of one year of post-terminal-degree academic teaching and clinical experience.

Applicants Should Also Demonstrate

• Excellent English-language communication skills, as the medium of instruction is English.
• The ability to conduct faculty research and facilitate and supervise student research and community activities.
• MOHAP/EHS evaluation as a Specialist or Consultant.
• Knowledge of medical education, including the ability to design teaching and learning activities and plan and conduct assessments and evaluations.
• A strong emotional quotient and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
