In alignment with the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative, RAKMHSU is committed to progressing toward net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The University will use 2025 as the baseline year for its initial greenhouse gas inventory and future performance tracking.

This commitment will be supported through practical and phased action across campus operations, including energy efficiency improvements, responsible use of electricity and fuel, better data management, sustainable procurement and infrastructure planning, waste reduction initiatives, and ongoing sustainability governance.

RAKMHSU Commits To

• Maintain and improve annual Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas data collection and reporting.
• Review reduction opportunities and implementation priorities on a periodic basis.
• Support carbon reduction through operational control measures and institutional planning.
• Publish and communicate approved sustainability and climate commitments through official University channels.
