The Annual Regional Pharmacy Faculty Development Workshop: Best Practices for Assessment in Pharmacy Education organized by GMU in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Education Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Tanani, Vice President – Research & PG Studies and Acting Dean, RAKCOP along with the faculty of RAKCOP – Dr. Shahnaz Usman, Professor & Chairperson, Dept. of Pharmaceutics and Dr. Tarun Wadhwa, Associate Professor, Dept. of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology, RAKCOP attended “The Annual Regional Pharmacy Faculty Development Workshop” at Gulf Medical University, Ajman on 13th Jan & 14th Jan 2024.

The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the assessment practices in pharmacy education. This was supported by interactive discussions and hands-on activities, fostering collaborative efforts to enhance assessment practices. The sessions highlighted the critical aspects of instructional alignment, vetting and revising assessment questions, grading tools, delivering feedback, programmatic assessment, pharmacy outcomes, and the implementation of best practices.

It was mesmerizing experience for us.
