This marked RAKMHSU's second involvement in the march, which was organized by Ras Al Khaimah Police and took place at Al Qawasim Corniche. The event was honored by the presence of Colonel Doctor Yousuf Bin Yaqoob Alzaabi from RAK Police.
During the celebration, RAKMHSU organized over 5 tournaments involving various universities at the sports complex.
The festivities of the Sports Day culminated with the presence of Colonel Fahd Juma, Vice President of the UAE Athletics Federation, who commended the university's active participation in a variety of sporting events.
Prof. Ali Hajeer, Vice President Academic, along with the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Manal Sami, and the Sports Manager, Dr. Mohamed Abou Elmagd, had the privilege of honoring the winners of the tournaments.
As part of RAKMHSU's efforts to raise awareness of the importance of participating in community initiatives and events, and in line with the initiative launched by the Higher Committee for Hosting the Special Olympics, aimed at involving and integrating people of determination with various disabilities into sports events and initiatives, the university, in collaboration with the UAE Special Olympics, organized a unified sports event to celebrate the International Day of University Sport 2024.
The event saw participation from players of the Ras Al Khaimah People of Determination Club and the Ajman People of Determination Club, alongside players from RAKMHSU, in badminton and table tennis competitions (with unified teams of male and female students).
The International Day of University Sport allows us to highlight the social role universities play through their curricula, as they open doors for everyone to practice sports and encourage regular exercise.
The event concluded with the recognition of all participants and winners by Professor Dr. Ismail Matalqa, the esteemed University President.
