RAKMHSU Strengthens Collaboration with the University of Leeds through Culturally Adapted Behavioral Activation Training

RAKMHSU launched a new phase of collaboration with the University of Leeds (UK) through a two-day training on the Culturally Adapted Behavioral Activation (BA-M) approach, held under the supervision and organization of the Health Workforce Development Center (HWDC) and in strategic partnership with Al Ghad Center.

The training was delivered by expert trainers from the University of Leeds and brought together over 90 participants — including psychologists, counselors, healthcare professionals, educators, and parents — from all Emirates across the UAE.

The program received highly positive feedback and represents a key milestone in advancing culturally adapted mental health practices and collaborative research between UAE institutions and international partners.
