Event Strengthens Clinical Training Partnerships with Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals
RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE - January 28, 2026 - The RAK College of Nursing (RAKCON) at RAK Medical & Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) successfully launched the new academic cycle for its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs with its Preceptor Orientation Program 2026, held on January 27, 2026. The event convened dedicated clinical preceptors from Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals, marking a pivotal step in advancing nursing education and clinical excellence.
Designed to align academic objectives with real-world clinical practice, the orientation equipped preceptors with the latest guidance and frameworks for supervising the next generation of nursing leaders. The program ensures a seamless and high-standard training experience for postgraduate nursing students.
The event commenced with a welcoming address from Prof. Ibrahim Al Faouri, Dean of RAK College of Nursing, who emphasized the critical role preceptors play in shaping clinical competencies. "Our preceptors are the cornerstone of our students' practical education. This collaboration with Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals is fundamental to our mission of developing nurses who can deliver exceptional, evidence-based care and drive the profession forward," stated Prof. Al Faouri.
The agenda featured comprehensive overviews of the PGD programs, detailed sessions on clinical training protocols and assessment standards, and collaborative discussions aimed at fostering a unified approach to student mentorship.
