RAK College of Nursing Faculty Enhance Research Expertise Through Advanced Measurement Workshop

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE - 2026 - The RAK College of Nursing (RAKCON) successfully conducted faculty development workshop titled “Advanced Measurement in Research: Ensuring Validity and Reliability” on Friday, January 23, 2026. The session was designed to empower nursing educators with sophisticated tools and methodologies to elevate the quality and impact of their academic and clinical research.

Led by the distinguished Professor Basil Amarneh (Dean College of Nursing at Dubai Medical University), the workshop delved into the critical components of robust research design. Faculty members engaged with advanced concepts surrounding measurement instruments, scale development, psychometric properties, and the latest techniques for ensuring data accuracy.

The workshop is a key initiative under RAKCON's ongoing Faculty Development Program, which aims to foster a culture of academic excellence, innovative inquiry, and evidence-based practice among its educators.

Professor Ibrahim Al Faouri, Dean of RAK College of Nursing, commended the success of the event. “We are deeply grateful to Professor Basil Amarneh for delivering such an insightful and practically valuable workshop. This training directly contributes to the rigor and relevance of the research emanating from our institution,” stated Dean Al Faouri.
