Multispeciality Medical Camp: A Report

Indian Association, Ras Al Khaimah in association with RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RAKCOPS), RAK Medical & Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) has organized a multispeciality medical camp on Friday, 14th Dec. 2018 at Indian School, Al Mamourah, Ras Al Khaimah, as part of 47th UAE National Day celebrations and Year of Zayed, B. Pharm & MS students, Faculty & Staff of RAKCOPS volunteered various community engagement activities during this multispeciality medical camp. Volunteers took part in performing health screening services such as monitoring of blood glucose and blood pressure. They also had an opportunity to guide the general public on safe use of their medications and counselling on life-style changes to manage various disease conditions.

Volunteers had a great opportunity to implement their practice related knowledge and skills and demonstrate their role as Pharmacists in the healthcare team by involving themselves in this event and understand the scope of their services as an integral part of the healthcare team in creating a healthy community.

RAKCOPS thank Dr. Gurumadhva Rao, President-RAKMHSU, Mr. SA Salim, Chairman-Medical Camp Organizing Committee & Vice-President of Indian Association, Ras Al Khaimah, all the office-bearers of Indian Association, Ras Al Khaimah, student participants, faculty and staff of RAKCOPS & RAKMHSU for their continuous support and encouragement.
