As part of Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University's efforts to raise awareness about the importance of sports for a healthier life, the Student Affairs Office organized the 13th annual marathon on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
The marathon, which started from the university gate and covered a distance of four kilometers, saw the participation of more than 500 runners, including students, faculty, and administrative staff. For the fifth consecutive year, several schools from Ras Al Khaimah joined the event, adding enthusiasm and energy to the competition. The university adopted the slogan "Run for Your Health" as the official annual theme for the marathon, reinforcing the role of sports in improving overall well-being.
The event was honored by the presence of:
Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi – Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, Government of Ras Al Khaimah.
Brigadier Ahmed Al Sam Al Naqbi – Director of the Central Operations Department, Ras Al Khaimah Police.
Professor Dr. Ismail Matalqa – President of the University.
The university president expressed his gratitude to Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Traffic and Patrols Department, the Public Works Department, and the Police Music Department for their continuous cooperation with the university in various events and activities, acknowledging their role in ensuring the success of this annual sports event.
The primary goal of this marathon is to promote public health, instill a spirit of sportsmanship among participants, and engage different segments of society in sports activities organized by the university.
