We are delighted to inform you that RAK College of Pharmacy, RAK Medical and Health Sciences University, status has been redesignated from Provisional Certification (Category 2) to International Accreditation (*online evaluation) by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) USA.     New fee structure updated for the academic year 2023-24.     All Programs are accredited by Ministry of Education, UAE.    All our programs are recognized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Program Offered

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is offered at RAK College of Medical Sciences (RAKCOMS). It is a six-year program comprising of 2 years of pre-medical and 4 years of preclinical (integrated modular applied basic sciences) and clinical clerkship courses. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree is offered at the end of 6 years of MD program with a total of 224 credits. Apart from the courses offered in the Basic Medical Sciences and Preclinical Sciences, it also covers clinical theory and clerkship rotations in Internal Medicine and allied subjects, General Surgery and allied subjects, Pediatrics and Neonatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology and electives. The students will undergo clinical training in various ministry hospitals & health centers along with research opportunities throughout the program

After passing the final MD examination and graduating, students can undergo rotational Internship in the approved hospitals of the country of their choice for a period of twelve months. The College will facilitate the approval of internship from the Emirates Health Services (EHS), UAE. For internship opportunities in hospitals under Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi, the students can apply directly to these authorities.
