Applying to RAKMHSU from Egypt & North Africa

School and university certificates usually must be legalised (attested) through an official chain, and school/degree certificates often also need a UAE equivalency (Muadala).

Every case differs — admissions confirms exactly what you need. Call +971 50 487 5530.

Step by step

Your document & attestation route

1
Pre-authenticate in your home country
Obtain the official original certificate (e.g. the Egyptian Thanaweya Amma, or your degree and transcript) and have it authenticated by the relevant education authority first.
2
Home Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Attest the pre-authenticated documents at your national MoFA (in Egypt, the Egyptian MoFA).
3
UAE Embassy/Consulate in your country
Submit the MoFA-attested documents to the UAE mission (for Egypt, Cairo) for attestation, normally before you travel. Keep every stamp and receipt.
4
Final UAE MoFAIC attestation
The chain usually finishes with a UAE MoFAIC attestation, generally done after arrival or via an authorised service.
5
UAE equivalency (Muadala)
Foreign school certificates (e.g. Thanaweya Amma), and often degrees, need a UAE Ministry of Education equivalency. Start early — assessments take time.
Documents to prepare
School-leaving certificate (e.g. Thanaweya Amma) with subject marks
Degree & transcript (graduate/transfer)
Home education-ministry pre-attestation
Home MoFA attestation
UAE embassy legalisation + UAE MoFAIC
UAE MoE equivalency (Muadala) where required
Certified Arabic/English translation of non-Arabic documents
Language

Arabic documents are generally acceptable; other languages need a certified legal translation. Arabic-medium applicants should expect to provide English-proficiency evidence (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL).
