Energy Conservation Program

RAKMHSU has taken the following steps to lower its energy consumption:

  • Creating awareness among campus communities about the need of energy conservation
  • Regular inspection & continuous monitoring of utilities & equipment’s for better performance.
  • The campus's HVAC and lighting systems are all scheduled to operate at particular times in order to optimize the occupant comfort and minimize cost.
  • Implementation of Power factor correction panels in electrical line in order to reduce electricity consumption.
  • Replacement of conventional lights by LED lights
  • Usage of detectors or sensors that track occupancy in university buildings
  • Conversion of HVAC system refrigerant R22 to Eco-Friendly R407C during compressor replacements & major repairs.
