MSc Clinical Pharmacy & MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences
RAK College of Pharmacy offers a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy. Following are the specialties offered in the Master of Science in Pharmacy programs:
- Clinical Pharmacy (2 years program)
- Pharmaceutical Sciences (One and half year program)
- Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (Pharmaceutical Industry)
- Medicinal Chemistry
Admissions are open to students of all nationalities based on the established admission criteria.
Direct Admission Requirements
- Educational Degree for MSc Clinical Pharmacy: Students with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/PharmD with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or an equivalent degree.
- Educational Degree for MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences: Students with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or an equivalent degree.
- Language Proficiency: Applicants must provide a letter confirming that their previous degree was completed in English. If the degree was obtained in a non-English language, the applicant must take an internal English proficiency assessment conducted by the university.
- Interview: Eligible applicants will be invited for an interview or discussion prior to admission.
Conditional Admission Requirements
- Educational Degree: Students with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/ PharmD/ Pharmacy/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or related fields with a CGPA between 2.0 and 2.49 on a 4.0 scale or an equivalent degree.
- Academic Performance During Conditional Period: Students admitted conditionally must complete a maximum of nine credit hours of graduate-level coursework during the conditional admission period. These courses must achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). Failure to meet this requirement may result in dismissal from the program.
